He was criticized for using the same cost cutting strategies he used at Walmart but eventually the team won the World Series in 2015 after reaching the World Series in 2014.
David sold the Royals in December 2019 for $1 billion. Glass sold the team to John Sherman, a Kansas City businessman and former minority owner of the Cleveland Indians.
