During his years in college, Mark also held several odd jobs in order to put himself through studies, and one of those jobs included working at Jack-in-the-Box in his hometown.
Subsequently, in 1982 he wanted to cash in his knowledge, and found a job at Intel Corporation, which at the time was only a mediocre company. Luckily, with the rapid increase in usage and improvement of the PCs, Intel soon became one of the most successful companies. After seven years of hard work at Intel which laid the basis of his net worth, Mark joined Sequoia Capital and used the knowledge he obtained while at Intel about semiconductors, software and other technology ventures of the Intel Corporation. In no time, Mark was investing in other companies on the rise, which included Google, Yahoo!, and YouTube, among others, which earned him a place in the five voting partners at Sequoia Capital.
